We're thrilled to have you here and hope you have an unforgettable stay. This is a very special place, and we’re honored to share it with you. The lake is incredible, and the community is fantastic. We hope you make wonderful memories here experiencing nothing short of a 5-star experience.

This guidebook should answer many of your questions, but we’re here if you need us. We know perfect doesn’t exist, but we’re committed to making your stay as close to perfect as possible. If anything isn’t right, please let us know immediately via text (it’s the best way to reach us, as cell service can be spotty), and we’ll do our best to assist you.

Directions

GPS should get you here. But detailed instructions from Hampton TN would be, East on US-321 S for 9.6 miles, R to stay on US-321 S towards Boone NC for 1.8 miles, just past Little Milligan Elementary School, cabin will be on your left.

One helpful detail when giving directions is to mention that we are just across the street from Little Milligan Elementary School.

Welcome to Twisted Vines Cabin! We're here to help you relax and enjoy your stay, but we do have a few simple rules to ensure everyone has a great time:

🚭 Smoking is only permitted OUTDOORS. Please use our sand buckets for your butts; there is a $500 fee for smoking inside.
🐻 We live in the national forest —please keep food and trash indoors and ensure the trash bin lid on deck is closed. A $100 fee applies for trash cleanup.
🚽 We’re on a septic system, so only flush toilet paper and what nature intended. Please DO NOT flushing anything else, including flushable wipes.
🐕 Help us keep this place Pet Friendly and clean up after your pets; supplies are on top of the refrigerator.
🥱 There is a $50 late check out fee for remaining after 11 am. If checkout extends past 1 pm, you will be charged for an additional day.

🛶 Paddleboard SUP Rentals: We offer California Board Company 11' All-Terrain Inflatable Paddleboards for rent while you stay with us. Life jackets are also provided for your use. TWRA requires children under 13 to have a life jacket ON; everyone else must have a life jacket with them. Paddleboards are first come first serve and should be reserved prior to your arrival. Each paddleboard is $50 for the duration of your stay.

🚤 Tubing / Knee Boarding / Skiing Equipment Rentals: Want to add some thrills to your stay? Rent our power sports equipment package for $150, and it’s yours for the whole vacation! Just let us know if you’re interested.

🐟 Fishing: Fishing is a great way to relax! No license is needed for kids under 13. Adults can easily purchase one online at GoOutdoorsTennessee.com or at nearby Walmart and Food City in Elizabethton.

📺 TV: Roku and Netflix are available but no over-the-air channels. Login to your own apps if you like.

🧹 Cleaning Supplies: Broom and dustpan beside the refrigerator, supplies under the kitchen sink, rags, vacuum cleaner in the laundry room.

🚮 Trash: Extra kitchen trash bags are under the sink. Please collect pet waste, cigarette butts, and trash. Bag it and put in the container on the deck and secure the lid.

🧦 Laundry: Washer, dryer, iron, ironing board and laundry detergent are provided.

❄️ Heat & Air Conditioning: Make yourself comfortable, but know if the doors or windows are left open, the system will automatically shut off until closed. The thermostat remote is located on the wall near the door to the back deck and downstairs on the wall near the laundry room door.

💩 Septic and Bath Tissue: You are on septic and will greatly enjoy our flushing toilets. Only flush, pee, poop, and toilet paper. DO NOT flush feminine products, flushable wipes, diapers, cotton balls, dreams, toys, or goldfish. Extra toilet paper is in the bathroom.

🚮 Trash: Keep the trash lid on the deck box closed and DO NOT leave food or trash outside as you are in the national forest with wildlife everywhere.

🌭 Grill: Gas grill and utensils are provided. Please remember to brush the grill when done cooking and leave the grill and utensils in the same condition and place where you found them.

☕️ Appliances: Coffee maker, toaster, and electric skillet.

👈 Check-Out Time: 11:00 AM

✓ Collect pet waste, cigarette butts, and trash. Bag it, put in the container on the deck, & secure lid.

✓ Empty freezer, refrigerator, microwave, oven, and coffee maker.

✓ Wash dishes.

✓ Locate and replace all remotes. Please set thermostats to 78° when cooling and 60° when heating.

✓ Start a load of towels in the washing machine.

✓ Return furniture and other items to original locations.

✓ Cover grill securely; $50 fee for lost/damaged cover.

✓ Take a business card and book direct on your next visit.
